Dear SJV Families,
The students at St. John Vianney have been making a difference in Cancer research through awareness and financial support. Over the past 13 years, SJV has raised a grand total of $22,197.73 for Cancer research in the name of Terry Fox!
Terry Fox is a wonderful example of what God calls us to be. Terry was so saddened by the suffering of cancer patients that he decided to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research. He called his journey the Marathon of Hope.
It is important to participate in this event, so the next generation will know, understand and appreciate a Canadian hero name Terry Fox.
We are hoping that students this year will be able to donate a 'Toonie for Terry', to continue to raise money for cancer research in Terry’s name. Kindly bring a toonie to your classroom teacher before our run on October 3rd.
