Parent Council Year End Message.
Published on Jun 26, 2019 11:17

Hello SJV Families!
As we finish up our last week of school for this year, the Parent Council would like to thank a few of the people who make our school community such a wonderful place.
There is a small and very dedicated team of women who volunteer extensive amounts of their time to ensure that all of the Parent Council initiatives are possible. They cook hot dogs, pop popcorn, help set up and take down every event, read with our children and so much more. Our school wouldn't be what it is without their contribution and we hope that each of them know how much their efforts are appreciated.
Thank you to Mme Hall, and the Learning Commons Committee for their hard work clearing out the library this year so that we can begin to create the Learning Commons space that we've been saving for.
Thank you to Mrs Leavitt who is always so organized and so very kind. She entertains all of our various requests and never complains. She keeps us all running smoothly!
Thank you to all of the wonderful teachers who make learning fun and exciting for our children. A special thank you to Mrs Falconi, our Parent Council teacher liaison, for her thoughtful advice, enthusiastic responses to our ideas and always showing up to make our events a success.
Finally a huge thank you to Mr Murphy, for his leadership, patience and eagerness to continually improve our school community. Mr Murphy is always ready to agree to our ideas (even when he thought that he would have to dig the holes for the fruit trees himself!) and provides sage advice on how best to execute them.
We hope you all have a wonderful summer and thank you sincerely on behalf of our school community for your hard work this year.
Your 2018-19 Parent Council
